Valley Vibes JUNE 2 | COASTAL RANGER STATION IN DEL MAR The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy and San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority welcome one and all to a fun, family fiesta from 8:30am to 3pm at the Coastal Ranger Station on San Andres Drive at Via de la Valle in Del Mar. The first-ever Valley Vibes fundraising event includes live music, a guided hike around the San Dieguito Lagoon, yoga, an art workshop with the Ilan-Lael Foundation and interactive educational displays. Beer and wine service and wood-fire pizza from Urbn Catering begins at 11:30am. Admission fees directly support programming by the Conservancy and the River Park JPA. She loves perching on a cat tree and gazing out the window, although her favorite past-time is snuggling up under a cozy blanket and taking a nap. Meet Savannah at SDHS' Oceanside Campus. Adoption fee: $75 MEOW Estrella is a 19-month-old Domestic Short Hair cat who may initially come across as aloof. After all, she is a fiercely independent kitty. But independent cats are the best because once you win her trust, you won't find a more affectionate girl to be around. Adoption fee: $151 WOOF Pilot is a 13-month-old Shepherd blend who is among Helen Woodward Animal Center's favorite resident doggos. He's an incredibly fun, playful boy who loves playing fetch in the yard and going on walks around the neighborhood with his favorite people. Adoption fee: $291 WOOF Fred is a 5½-year-old, 75-pound Labrador Retriever/Terrier Mix. He was a stray puppy in Riverside County who was transferred to RCHS through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS). Fred spent almost 5 years in his home, but his family now says Fred needs more time than they have to give. Fred loves to snuggle or play ball. This Shepherd Mix can be a bit shy around new faces, but once he warms up, he's proven to be a loving companion. He has a wonderful track record with other dogs and thrives in their company, so a calm household with canine pals would be ideal for him.
