It's not a rumbling hot rod or a blinding-quick EV, but rather a smartly tailored Lexus SUV with a nice balance of performance and economy. Inside the TX, the driver faces a wide presentation of instruments that sweep to a 12.3-inch multimedia display. Lexus wasn't exactly early in smartphone integration, but their new systems are quick to sync and easy to use. Seating up front is first-class in semi-aniline leather upholstered — as well as heated or ventilated — chairs, and the same accommodations are available in the second row for family and friends. We tested the most obvious utility feature of the TX 500h by chauffeuring our neighbors to dinner. Since they own contemporary Lexus SUVs, they were perfect critics. e vote was thumbs-up, and I expect Lexus to do well with the sharp new TX line. @ranchandcoast RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE JUNE 2024 95
