Eskayel has already achieved household-name status among heavyweight interior designers on both coasts. eir Belize Blooms wallpaper recently graced the pages of Architectural Digest via Maude Apatow's New York City apartment, while Eskayel textiles took center stage on the cover of Elle Decor in a James Huniford project in the Hamptons. e brand's fan base reads like a Hollywood guest list, including John Legend, Leighton Meester, and Brooklyn Decker, as well as design luminaries like Michael S. Smith and Marmol Radziner. Beyond the library, the showroom serves as a community hub for the local creative set with weaving classes and natural dye workshops. e space brims with curated vintage furniture, biomorphic glass vessels, custom lighting by Cerno Group, and stained-glass doors by local artist Shelby Forsythe. "I've been out wandering the world for the last 30 years," says Campanaro. "Coming home and reconnecting with the vibrant creative community here just feels right." In many ways, that drive is in her DNA; Campanaro had the ultimate mentor in her father. Tom Campanaro founded Total Gym — the San Diego-based fitness giant that revolutionized home workouts and famously spawned the longest-running infomercial in television history. "Having parents who owned their own business gave me confidence to start my own," says Campanaro. "It's a great San Diego story." "It was important to me that the showroom feel timeless rather than brand-new or over-designed," says Campanaro, floating through the space in a baby blue sundress.
